This class is for all fiber artists – knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners, dyers, and other artists – who love color and want to understand palettes, be more deliberate about color choices, and develop confidence about their colors. It utilizes Gist Yarn’s Palette Scout color deck. We’ll start out with some basic color theory, play with some guided palette development, and work into some creative challenges. Participants are encouraged to bring a picture or textile they like. A printed photo or book will work best.
Materials: a picture (book or printed photo) or textile with colors you like, color wheel, paint swatches (from the paint store) of their favorite and least favorite colors
